Calabria schools selected for European Parliament Ambassador program
Thirteen educational institutions in Calabria, Italy, have been selected for the European Parliament Ambassador Schools (EPAS) program for the 2026-2027 academic year. The selection includes ten new schools and three returning institutions that have already maintained their certification.
Among the returning schools are Liceo Scientifico Filolao in Crotone, Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore Raffaele Piria in Rosarno, and Liceo Scientifico Scorza in Cosenza. New participants include several institutions from Reggio Calabria, such as Convitto Nazionale di Stato T. Campanella and the Panella-Vallauri Technological Technical Institute.
European Parliament MEP Giusi Princi, a member of the Committee on Culture and Education, praised the commitment of administrators, teachers, and students. She noted that the program provides students with a concrete way to understand European values and institutional functions beyond textbook learning, often including study trips to Brussels.
