Calci market relocation to Piazza del Poggio faces opposition

Anva Confesercenti Provincia di Pisa has expressed formal opposition to the municipal administration's decision to permanently relocate the market in Calci to Piazza del Poggio. Despite the decision being finalized through an official resolution, the organization maintains that the new location is unsuitable.

Mirco Sbrolli, the provincial president of Anva Confesercenti Pisa, stated that the choice fails to account for essential factors such as area functionality, accessibility, visibility for businesses, and pedestrian flow. He emphasized that the concerns raised by market operators regarding the inadequacy of the new space should not be ignored, asserting that the organization's role is to protect the livelihoods of those who work at the market weekly.
