Calgary Wild upsets Ottawa Rapid 4-3 in Northern Super League

The last-place Calgary Wild upset the league-leading Ottawa Rapid with a 4-3 victory in a Northern Super League match at McMahon Stadium.

Serita Thurton led the scoring for Calgary with two goals in the first half. Kahli Johnson opened the scoring for the hosts in the 15th minute, and Jorian Baucom also contributed to the Wild's tally.

For Ottawa, Jung Min-Young and Melanie Forbes scored to keep the match competitive, while Jyllissa Harris converted a penalty in the 86th minute. Despite controlling 54 per cent of possession, Ottawa was outshot 16-13. The defeat ended Ottawa's 10-match unbeaten streak.
