Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta to include campaign mission

Activision and Infinity Ward have announced unprecedented details for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta. For the first time in the franchise's history, the beta will include content from the single-player campaign, specifically the mission ‘Entrenched’, alongside multiplayer and Call of Duty: Warzone modes.

The testing phase is divided into two stages. The early access beta begins on August 21 for those who have pre-ordered the game, covering PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The open beta follows on August 28, which will expand access to include the Nintendo Switch 2, marking a significant platform expansion for the series.

During the second weekend of the beta, players can test the new ‘Zodiac’ Resurgence map for Warzone. Multiplayer testing will feature various modes such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Search & Destroy, as well as the ‘Kill Block’ environment. The full game is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026.
