Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta to include campaign mission

Activision and Infinity Ward have announced details for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta, which will feature a single-player campaign mission titled “Entrenched” for the first time in the franchise's history.

The beta is scheduled in two phases. An early access period for digital pre-orders will run from August 21 to August 25 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This phase includes various 6v6 multiplayer modes and the campaign mission. An open beta will follow from August 28 to September 1, accessible to all players, including those on the Nintendo Switch 2. The second weekend will also introduce Ground War modes and the new Zodiac Resurgence map for Call of Duty: Warzone.

To maintain fair play, the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team requires PC players to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. The full game is slated for release on October 23, 2026.
