Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta introduces gameplay updates
The open beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has introduced several significant gameplay adjustments and content updates. Infinity Ward has implemented changes to weapon balancing, including providing an additional magazine to all weapons with an ammunition capacity of fewer than 60 rounds to compensate for adjustments to the time-to-kill (TTK).
Movement mechanics have been overhauled, most notably by removing Tactical Sprint as a default function and reclassifying it as a selectable Perk. Other updates include adjustments to spawn logic, increased costs for killstreaks, and the addition of new maps and modes such as Ground War: Combat Outpost and the Transit 213 24/7 playlist.
For the first time in a Call of Duty beta, the Warzone mode is included, featuring the new Resurgence map, Zodiac, located in a South Korean weapons manufacturing facility. Players can also experience a segment of the single-player campaign titled Entrenched during the testing period.
