Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta to include campaign and Warzone

Activision and Infinity Ward have announced the beta testing schedule for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which is set to launch on October 23, 2026. In a departure from previous franchise history, the beta will include a single-player campaign mission titled ‘Entrenched’ alongside multiplayer and Warzone content.

The testing is divided into two phases. The Early Access Beta runs from August 21 to August 25 for players who have pre-ordered the game on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S. This phase features several multiplayer maps, including Rooftops, Silkworm, and Kill Block, as well as the campaign mission.

The Open Beta follows from August 28 to September 1 and is available to all players. This second window introduces the new ‘Zodiac’ Resurgence map for Warzone and expands the multiplayer offering to include Ground War. Notably, the open beta will also support the Nintendo Switch 2.

Infinity Ward has also confirmed that a larger-scale Battle Royale map is currently in development for Warzone to complement the upcoming integration.
