Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 reveals new campaign gameplay

Activision and Infinity Ward have released new campaign teasers and gameplay footage for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The footage highlights a mission in Paris titled ‘Traffic,’ featuring an unexpected alliance between Captain Price and former antagonist Valeria Garza. The sequence showcases high-speed vehicle chases, armored van combat, and intense firefights through the streets of the French capital.

The game’s narrative is set against a global conflict triggered by a large-scale North Korean invasion of South Korea. Players will experience diverse combat settings, including trench warfare in Korea, urban combat in New York, and night raids in Bombay.

Key release details include an official launch on October 23, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players who pre-order the game will receive seven days of early access to the single-player campaign starting October 16, 2026. Additionally, a beta phase is expected to begin following the ‘Call of Duty: Next’ event on August 21, which may include testing for the new ‘Kill Block’ multiplayer mode and a potential ‘Warzone Resurgence’ map codenamed ‘Zodiac’.
