Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 testing begins on PS5

PlayStation 5 users have begun participating in evaluative testing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 following technical details revealed at the Call of Duty: Next conference. The testing phase introduces redesigned movement mechanics, such as vertical climbing and ledge-based combat, alongside new arenas designed for competitive play.

The initial testing phase is restricted to users who pre-ordered the game or validated promotional keys by August 25. A second window will provide unrestricted access to all users from August 28 to September 1. Participants can earn eight decorative items, including the Dread Tiger outfit and a Han 86 rifle variant, by completing specific challenges. Progress made during the initial phase will carry over to the second window.
