Maximiliano Ghione arrested in Santa Fe over threats and kidnapping allegations
Argentine actor and director Maximiliano Ghione has been arrested in Lehmann, Santa Fe, following a police raid on his residence. The arrest follows a complaint by an escort, Emiliano Tarragona, who alleges he was unlawfully deprived of his liberty and threatened during an encounter on September 20.
Tarragona claims he was held at Ghione's home for approximately five hours and was intimidated by the brandishing of loaded weapons. While the complainant initially suggested sexual activity occurred, Ghione's defense attorney, Carlos Farías Demaldé, stated that no sexual activity took place, though he acknowledged the consumption of cocaine during the meeting.
During the search conducted by the Police of Investigations (PDI), authorities seized eight firearms, including four .38 caliber revolvers, one .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol, and a long wooden weapon. The investigation is being led by Prosecutor Juan Manuel Puig of the Ministerio Público de la Acusación. Ghione remains in custody in Rafaela pending further judicial proceedings.
