Legal investigation of Maximiliano Ghione

Overview

Argentine actor and director Maximiliano Ghione was arrested in Lehmann, Santa Fe, following allegations of kidnapping and threats. The investigation was initiated after an individual, Emiliano Tarragona, alleged he was unlawfully deprived of his liberty and intimidated with loaded weapons at Ghione’s residence for approximately five hours on September 20.

A police search of the property resulted in the seizure of eight firearms, including revolvers and a semi-automatic pistol. While Ghione’s defense attorney acknowledged the consumption of cocaine during the encounter, he denied that any sexual activity occurred.

Following his release from detention on October 2, Ghione was placed under judicial restrictions, including a prohibition on contacting victims or witnesses, a requirement to report to local police every 15 days, and a ban on possessing firearms. In a video released on Instagram, Ghione addressed the allegations, stating, “For the detractors who speak without knowing... the truth will be told by the Justice system.”
