Callejero Fino investigation expands after functional firearm seizure

An investigation is underway in San Isidro following the detention of urban music artist Natanael Alvarenga, known as Callejero Fino, and his cousin, Steven Joel Ricca. The pair was intercepted in Benavídez while driving a Volkswagen Amarok without license plates.

Authorities seized a .40 caliber Glock pistol with filed-off serial numbers and 12 projectiles. Forensic reports have confirmed that the weapon is functional and capable of firing. Prosecutor Cosme Iribarren has ordered the analysis of a spent casing through the National Automated Ballistic Identification System (SAIB) to determine if the firearm was used in previous crimes.

As part of the investigation, judicial authorities are considering summoning singer María Becerra and Julián Reininger (J Rei) as witnesses. This follows Alvarenga’s statement during his arrest that he was traveling to a birthday celebration for J Rei, the partner of María Becerra.
