Callejero Fino remains detained after arrest for illegal weapon possession

Argentine musician Simón Natanael Alvarenga, known professionally as Callejero Fino, remains in custody following his arrest for the possession of a war weapon. The arrest occurred in the Tigre district after police intercepted a Volkswagen Amarok being driven without license plates. During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a Glock .40 pistol with a filed-off serial number.

Although Alvarenga denied ownership of the firearm, Prosecutor Cosme Iribarren requested his continued detention, a move that was upheld by the court. The judiciary has denied requests for his release, citing the severity of the charges and the need to conduct forensic examinations on the mobile phones of those involved to determine the weapon's origin and connections to other individuals.

The legal situation has halted the artist's professional activities, including a planned acting debut in the film ‘El Transa’. His management team is currently awaiting the results of the technological forensics to determine the next steps in the legal process.
