Cam Ranh Airport launches first direct flight from Moscow to Khanh Hoa
Cam Ranh International Airport welcomed the first direct flight from Moscow to Khanh Hoa province on September 23. Flight VJ5074, carrying 370 passengers, departed from Sheremetyevo International Airport and was greeted with a formal water cannon salute upon arrival.
Local officials and tourism representatives met the passengers with flowers, souvenirs, and traditional lion dances. The new Moscow-Khanh Hoa route is scheduled to operate three times per week, with plans to increase frequency to five flights per week by early 2027. This expansion contributes to Anex Vietnam’s broader network, which is expected to reach 28 flights per week between Russia and Vietnam.
According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the province received over 851,000 Russian visitors during the first eight months of 2026, a more than threefold increase compared to the same period in 2025. Most Russian tourists frequenting the region stay in Nha Trang or Bai Dai and participate in island and ecological tours.
