Cambodia advances infrastructure and diplomatic ties

Cambodia is undertaking several strategic initiatives to enhance its national infrastructure and international relations. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has launched a technical training course on traffic management equipment to improve road safety, aesthetics, and technical standards across the country's road networks. Additionally, the MPWT has signed contracts for a major Mekong River bridge project connecting the Koh Norea and Mekong Quay satellite cities, with groundbreaking expected in early 2027 to alleviate traffic congestion in Phnom Penh.

On the diplomatic and administrative front, Prime Minister Hun Manet met with Uzbekistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Baku to pledge deeper cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, and education. Furthermore, an MPWT delegation recently completed a study visit to the University of Adelaide in Australia to gain expertise in public financial management, investment management, and sustainable debt management.
