Cambrils launches accessible bathing zone at L'Ardiaca beach

The municipality of Cambrils has opened a new accessible bathing area on L'Ardiaca beach. The installation includes three stainless‑steel railings and three lifeline ropes marked by buoys, covering about 115 m², to enable people with reduced mobility to reach the sea safely and to provide support for swimming or rehabilitation exercises.

A separate accessible platform with around twenty shaded seats and similar safety railings will be added to La Llosa beach in front of the El Dorado hotel. The existing assisted‑bathing service using an amphibious chair continues on the beaches of Regueral, Vilafortuny and La Llosa until 30 September, by reservation.

Mayor Oliver Klein said the town aims to be a reference for beach quality and accessibility, adding, “We will keep investing so they become increasingly safe, comfortable and accessible for everyone.”
