Cameroon U17 team begins training camp in France
The Cameroon U17 national team, known as the Lionceaux, has begun a training camp in Noisy-le-Grand, France, to prepare for the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar. The camp, which runs until September 27, includes daily training sessions and evaluation matches.
Coach Thomas Libiih is using this period to expand player options by integrating young talents based in Europe, including players from Manchester United, Manchester City, and Nottingham Forest. This follows an initial preparation phase in Cameroon, where the team secured a 3-1 victory against the U20 Lions and a 1-1 draw against Tonnerre Kalara Club.
Cameroon will compete in Group K of the tournament against Romania, Venezuela, and Mexico, with their opening match scheduled for November 21 against Venezuela.
