Camilo Huerta faces arrest warrant in drug trafficking probe

Camilo Huerta, a model and personal trainer, is under investigation by the Chilean Carabineros (OS-7) for alleged involvement in drug trafficking, illicit association, and money laundering. The investigation, part of ‘Operación Amsterdam’, targets an organization suspected of using medicinal dispensaries as a front to distribute cannabis illegally, potentially generating profits exceeding 8 billion pesos.

Huerta is currently in the United States and has an active arrest warrant in Chile. His lawyer, Rodrigo Núñez, stated that Huerta intends to return to the country and is aware he will be detained upon arrival. The investigation suggests the criminal structure operated through various commercial locations, including a ‘growshop’ linked to Huerta.

Marité Matus, Huerta’s former partner, has stated she has no involvement in the matter, though her lawyer indicated she may be summoned to provide testimony regarding a former business partnership they shared in Colina that lasted approximately six months. The investigation involves 38 other suspects and has spanned nine regions across Chile.
