Campania approves 7.1 million euros for Campi Flegrei emergency measures
The Campania Regional Government has approved seven extraordinary measures totaling 7.1 million euros to support the Campi Flegrei area following seismic emergencies. The funding targets social services, healthcare, mobility, and infrastructure.
Key allocations include 1.95 million euros to strengthen healthcare services, including the Pozzuoli emergency room and mobile triage units, and 1 million euros for social services such as psychological support and home assistance for vulnerable residents. To ensure educational continuity, 500,000 euros will fund free public transport for students regardless of income or residency.
Infrastructure and safety investments include 1.5 million euros to improve access and pedestrian paths at the Port of Pozzuoli, 1 million euros for land consolidation in the Riserva degli Astroni, and 150,000 euros to temporarily boost maritime links with Ischia and Procida. Additionally, 1 million euros has been allocated to the Municipality of Pozzuoli for emergency housing (CAS).
An additional 2.1 million euros will be distributed equally among the municipalities of Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Monte di Procida, and Naples to support local administration during the crisis.
