Campania launches 346 million euro investment program for regional industry
The Campania regional government has introduced “Campania Investe – Il Programma per le Filiere Produttive,” an initiative designed to support local businesses and employment through 346 million euros in funding. By leveraging bank credit, the program aims to trigger over 500 million euros in total regional investments. The plan focuses on innovation, technological transition, environmental sustainability, and strengthening production chains to boost competitiveness in national and international markets.
The program utilizes resources from the PR Campania FESR and PR FSE+ 2021-2027 frameworks, alongside regional funds for SMEs and craftsmanship. Key objectives include expanding and diversifying productive capacity and modernizing industrial processes. One major component, “Campania Compete,” allocates 115 million euros to identity-driven sectors such as shipbuilding, the maritime economy, automotive, aerospace, agro-industry, thermal tourism, and fashion, with a priority on micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
In a separate strategic proposal, the FAST-CONFSAL Campania – Molise regional secretariat has called for the creation of an integrated Mediterranean logistics platform. This proposal seeks to connect existing maritime infrastructure in Naples, Salerno, and Castellammare di Stabia with inland interports like Nola and Maddaloni-Marcianise. The goal is to transform the region into a Mediterranean hub by resolving bottlenecks and utilizing rail connections to support the region’s SME-centric economy.
