Campania promotes agroalimentary excellence at America’s Cup Race Village

The Campania region is utilizing the 38th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Race Village in Naples to promote its extensive agroalimentary heritage. From September 24 to 27, a dedicated institutional space near Piazza Vittoria will host tastings, meetings, and show cooking sessions featuring regional specialties.

Campania possesses 34 European-certified food products, including 15 DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) and 15 IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) labels, with a total market value of 846 million euros. Participating products include Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP, Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP, San Marzano Tomato DOP, Paestum Artichoke IGP, and Giffoni Hazelnut IGP.

The initiative involves 15 chefs and food creators to showcase the region's culinary identity. Agriculture Councilor Maria Carmela Serluca noted that the Naples seafront provides a significant stage for this promotion, serving as a precursor to larger regional initiatives planned for the spring of 2027.
