Campeche municipal worker dies in electrocution accident

A municipal worker died following an electric shock in the Fracciorama 2000 neighborhood of Campeche. The victim, identified as Misrain Abisaí, worked for the Campeche City Council's Subdirectorate of Markets.

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning while the man was painting a property undergoing renovation. Reports indicate that the metal extension of his paint roller made contact with a high-voltage cable belonging to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), resulting in a fatal discharge.

Paramedics from the Emergency Medical Care System (SAMU) arrived at the scene but confirmed the man had no vital signs. Following investigations by the State Attorney General's Office (FGECAM), the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) recovered the body and subsequently released it to his family.
