Campina Grande hosts accounting conference and unveils major municipal job competition
The Regional Accounting Council of Paraíba (CRC-PB) opened a multi‑day conference in Campina Grande, featuring sessions on electoral accounting, tax reform and the use of artificial intelligence in accounting firms. Organized at the Sebrae auditorium, the event attracted a full house of accountants from across the state and other regions, prompting organizers to add extra seating.
The city government announced two public contests: one for the municipal administration and another for the Superintendence of Transit and Public Transport (STTP). Over 86,000 candidates have registered for a total of 1,051 positions, with the municipal audit fiscal role drawing 869.5 applicants per vacancy and the STTP contest offering 40 traffic‑agent posts.
