Campina Grande officials propose health screening and oversee facility renovations

In Campina Grande, local legislative and oversight actions are targeting improvements to the municipal public health network. Councilman Saulo Germano has proposed a bill to integrate capillary blood glucose testing into the initial screening process for patients at municipal health units. The goal is to enable faster detection of hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia, particularly for high-risk patients, to facilitate quicker clinical assessments and referrals.

Simultaneously, Councilman Severino da Prestação has been inspecting the ongoing renovation of the Ronaldo Cunha Lima Health Center. The facility, which serves the Três Irmãs region, is undergoing extensive structural updates, including the replacement of flooring, wall plaster, and bathroom tiling. The renovation aims to provide improved service conditions for the local population once completed.
