Campo Grande begins R$ 2.4 million traffic remodeling project

Infrastructure works totaling R$ 2.4 million have commenced to remodel traffic flow at the intersection of Euler de Azevedo and Tamandaré avenues in Campo Grande. The project, a joint effort between the City Hall and the Government of Mato Grosso do Sul, aims to address a major traffic bottleneck that handles an average of 12,000 vehicles during peak hours.

The 12-month project will be executed by MENG Engenharia Comércio e Indústria Ltda., under the technical supervision of Agetran and Detran-MS. Planned improvements include opening new sections in the central median, adjusting return ramps, installing and synchronizing new traffic lights, improving drainage, and repairing the asphalt.

Additionally, the works will feature sidewalk restructuring to improve accessibility and pedestrian safety, along with updated road markings and signage. The intervention directly impacts residents and commuters in the Segredo, Imbirussu, and Centro regions, specifically affecting the neighborhoods of Vila Nasser, Vila Nossa Senhora das Graças, Santa Luzia, Vila Sobrinho, and São Francisco.
