Campo Grande hosts free Brazilian cinema week

Sesc Teatro Prosa in Campo Grande is hosting ‘Semana do Cinema’, a series of free screenings of Brazilian films from August 18 to 21. The program features diverse genres and themes, including environmental preservation, adolescence, and social inclusion.

Key highlights include the documentary ‘Amazônia, a Nova Minamata?’, which examines the impact of gold mining and mercury contamination on the Munduruku people. The event also includes ‘Saudade Fez Morada Aqui Dentro’, a film following a teenager dealing with a degenerative vision disease, and the comedy ‘Colegas’. Special activities are also planned for audiences aged 60 and older, as well as storytelling sessions regarding autism.
