Campo Grande announces housing, infrastructure, and social programs

The City Hall of Campo Grande has announced several initiatives regarding housing, infrastructure, and social assistance. The 11th Habita CG Fair has generated approximately R$ 26 million in business, with over 110 families signing contracts for their first homes. The municipal government has also allocated R$ 9.6 million through the Bônus Sonho de Morar program to support low-income families.

In terms of infrastructure, the Vira CG program is seeking R$ 433 million for a new phase involving 170 kilometers of drainage and paving across 35 neighborhoods. Additionally, the city has expanded its street repair operations, aiming to increase asphalt application to 200 tons per day and deploy up to ten work crews by the end of August to address potholes.

Regarding social welfare, the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) is opening registration for socio-assistential institutions. This program allows organizations to access fresh produce from family farming to distribute to populations facing food insecurity. Coordination is being handled by Semades and SAS, with the registration period running until August 28.
