Campo Grande retail rules for municipal anniversary holiday

In Campo Grande, retail businesses may choose to operate during the municipal holiday celebrating the city's 127th anniversary. However, opening is optional and subject to specific rules established by the Collective Labor Convention (CCT).

Establishments that decide to open must provide written notice to the Labor Union, pay a fee of R$ 24 per employee, and grant compensatory time off within 15 days. For street commerce, permitted hours are from 9:00 to 18:00, with a minimum one-hour break. Shopping mall stores are exempt from these specific street hours. Other requirements include providing transportation vouchers and paying double for overtime, though shifts cannot be extended.

Adelaido Figueiredo, president of CDL Campo Grande, advised retailers to strictly follow these regulations to avoid fines resulting from lack of knowledge regarding the CCT requirements.
