Campo Grande teachers to receive 5.4% salary increase

Teachers in the permanent teaching staff of Campo Grande will receive a 5.4% salary increase. The new wage scale was officially released on Friday, outlining a staggered implementation plan.

The adjustment will occur in three stages: an initial 2% increase retroactive to September 1, 2026; a 1.4% increase in December; and a final 2% increase in January 2027. This schedule aligns with the 2026 National Professional Wage Floor for Teaching.

The agreement was negotiated between the Campo Grande City Hall and the Sindicato Campo-Grandense dos Profissionais da Educação Pública (ACP). The proposal received near-unanimous approval from the category during an Extraordinary General Assembly. Mayor Adriane Lopes stated that the measure represents progress in negotiations with education professionals.
