Campo Grande municipal administration and infrastructure
Overview
The municipal government of Campo Grande has announced several administrative and legislative updates regarding public sector compensation and infrastructure.
Following the sanctioning of new career and salary plans for Urban Mobility Fiscal Auditors, the city officially released a new wage scale for permanent teaching staff. This 5.4% salary increase, negotiated with the Sindicato Campo-Grandense dos Profissionais da Educação Pública (ACP), will be implemented in three stages: a 2% retroactive increase effective September 1, 2026, a 1.4% increase in December, and a final 2% increase in January 2027. Mayor Adriane Lopes stated the measure represents “progress in negotiations with education professionals.”
In addition to salary adjustments, the City Hall has summoned 181 approved candidates for temporary positions, including school cooks, early childhood education assistants, psychologists, and drivers. These roles aim to fill vacancies within the Municipal Education Secretariat (Semed) without increasing personnel expenses.
Further municipal initiatives include the Social Work Foundation (Funsat) announcing 828 job vacancies across 115 roles in commerce and services, supported by itinerant recruitment programs and job fairs. To improve public security and emergency response, the Municipal Government School is launching training for civil servants to operate the Sinesp+ system. Additionally, the Municipal Health Secretariat (Sesau) is conducting a R$ 5.7 million bidding process for the continuous supply of prepared meals.
Other regional developments include technical assessments of the Esplanada Ferroviária following storm damage, planned investments for drainage and paving in Jardim Santa Emília and Aquarius, and agrarian reform updates involving settlement projects and food supply programs.
