Campobasso Previene 2026 health fair delivers over 3,000 services

The second edition of Campobasso Previene was held in Campobasso, Italy, from 25 to 30 May 2026. More than 3,600 people visited the stand in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, where a coordinated effort of the municipality, health agencies and NGOs provided 3,157 preventive health services. Screenings included cardiac, metabolic, dermatological, pap‑test, HPV, mammography, HCV and HIV tests, as well as vitamin‑D checks and alcohol‑related assessments. The event also offered education on nutrition, lifestyle, antibiotic resistance and electronic health records, and engaged schools to involve young people.

Participating organisations such as FEDERFARMA, the Molise Diabetes Association, the Italian Red Cross, LILT and ASREM delivered the majority of tests and consultations. Municipal leaders, mayor Marialuisa Forte and health policy assessor Angelo Marcheggiani, praised the initiative as a replicable model of territorial prevention that strengthens links between health services, schools and civic groups.
