Can Tho launches second phase of DNA collection for martyrs' relatives

Can Tho police have launched a second phase of DNA biological sample collection from the maternal relatives of martyrs. This initiative aims to assist in the search for and identification of fallen soldiers whose remains currently lack sufficient information.

The collection process involves 1,177 individuals from maternal lineages across the city. To facilitate this, authorities have established seven collection points at various local police stations, including My Tu, Phu Loc, Tran De, Tan Binh, Vi Tan, Truong Thanh, and Hung Phu.

Can Tho police are working in coordination with the Department of Police for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) and technical sampling units to verify information and guide relatives through the necessary procedures. Local officers are also providing direct assistance to elderly participants and those in difficult circumstances to ensure the process is conducted accurately and efficiently.
