Can Tho police prosecute luxury fashion store owner for counterfeiting

Police in Can Tho, Vietnam, have prosecuted Huỳnh Thanh Hiển, the owner of the Thanh Hiển Luxury fashion store, for infringing on industrial property rights. Hiển, born in 2002, faces charges under the Penal Code following an investigation into the sale of counterfeit goods.

During a search of the store located on Nguyễn Bình Street, authorities seized 2,949 items, including clothing, footwear, hats, belts, backpacks, handbags, and wallets. The seized products were identified as counterfeits of major international brands, including Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, and Hermes. The total value of the counterfeit merchandise is estimated to be over 1.9 billion VND.
