Canada Border Services Agency adjusts crossing hours in Manitoba and B.C

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is adjusting operating hours at several land border crossings in Manitoba and British Columbia to align with United States schedules. These changes follow the decisions by Manitoba and British Columbia to adopt permanent daylight time.

In Manitoba, 13 border crossings will see adjusted hours starting November 1, 2026, until March 14, 2027. Affected locations include Cartwright, Coulter, Crystal City, Goodlands, Gretna, Lena, Lyleton, Piney, Snowflake, South Junction, Tolstoi, Windygates, and Winkler. The adjustments aim to improve coordination between officials on both sides of the border, particularly for travelers who may be denied entry and must return immediately to their country of origin.

In British Columbia, nine land crossings will implement revised winter timetables from November 1, 2026, to March 14, 2027. These adjustments affect routes connecting British Columbia with Washington state and Alaska. Affected crossings include Aldergrove, Carson, Cascade, Chopaka, Fraser, Midway, Nelway, Pleasant Camp, and Waneta. While some crossings operate 24 hours a day, others will see their opening and closing times shift by one hour to maintain synchronization with American ports of entry.
