Canada names squad for 2026 IMC Over-40s World Cup

Former West Indies players Royston Crandon and Shane Shillingford have been selected for Canada’s 16-man squad for the 2026 International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over-40s World Cup. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Guyana from October 17 to November 1.

The Canadian team will be captained by off-spinning all-rounder Shailesh Patel, with Bhavneet Bhatai serving as vice captain. The squad also features former Canada international Jimmy Hansra. Canada is placed in Group A, which includes South Africa, Australia, the West Indies, Namibia, Sri Lanka, Colombia, and Wales. Their opening match will be against defending champions South Africa at the Enmore Community Centre ground.

The 16-team event is hosted by the Cricket West Indies Masters Association.
