Canadian police issue traffic tickets in Red Deer and Regina Beach

In July, the Red Deer RCMP issued 175 tickets under the Traffic Safety Act, including 46 for speeding, eight for distracted driving, 15 for seat‑belt violations and numerous other infractions. The force also conducted public‑education presentations and joint operations with the City of Red Deer.

During a three‑day long‑week traffic blitz in the Regina Beach area, Saskatchewan RCMP officers conducted about 950 mandatory alcohol screenings and 25 drug tests, resulting in 23 drivers being removed from the road for impaired driving. The operation produced two criminal charges, roadside suspensions for 21 drivers, 20 additional traffic tickets and 36 written warnings, with no collisions reported during the period.
