Separately, the PSOE has taken legal action against the Government of the Canary Islands. Socialist deputy Alicia Vanoostende filed a lawsuit following the government's refusal to provide information regarding the list of beneficiaries for public aid related to the Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma. Vanoostende stated that the lack of transparency hinders her ability to perform her parliamentary duties and oversight responsibilities, arguing that access to such information is a fundamental right.
