Cancer Fighters foundation addresses oncology fund distribution

The Cancer Fighters foundation has addressed concerns regarding the distribution of funds raised during the ‘Łatwogang’ and Bedoes live stream. The foundation stated that 292 million PLN collected during the nine-day event is being directed toward Polish oncology. To date, the foundation claims to have transferred over 100 million PLN to support oncology, including over 30 million PLN to cover the needs of 323 patients.

Specific allocations include 1 million PLN each to 17 pediatric oncology wards and 52 million PLN for the modernization of clinics in Szczecin, Olsztyn, and Białystok. Regarding the delay in funds reaching some institutions, the director of the Provincial Specialist Children's Hospital in Olsztyn noted that while a 1 million PLN check was received in July, the actual transfer occurred on September 30 following negotiations over the donation agreement.

Some hospitals have reportedly delayed receiving funds due to ongoing negotiations over controversial clauses within the donation contracts. The foundation has also announced a new 2 million PLN grant program for small oncology support organizations starting October 1.
