Cancer Fighters foundation faces scrutiny over financial ties

The Cancer Fighters foundation is facing scrutiny following media reports regarding potential conflicts of interest and financial irregularities. Investigations by Rzeczpospolita highlighted that Boxing Challenge, a company owned 100% by the foundation to organize charity boxing matches, spent a significant portion of its 2025 budget on the salary of its sole board member, Jakub Michalski. Reports indicate Michalski received 218,200 PLN gross, while the costs for organizing four boxing events totaled approximately 137,000 PLN.

Concerns were raised by Watchdog Polska regarding Michalski’s multiple roles: he served as the managing director of Cancer Fighters while also being the president and partner of CloudEleven, a PR agency that provided services to the foundation. In response to these allegations, Cancer Fighters issued a statement clarifying that 100% of the 292.7 million PLN raised during the high-profile ‘Diss na raka’ campaign involving influencers Łatwogang and Bedoes 2115 will be dedicated to Polish oncology and helping children with cancer.

The foundation admitted that holding multiple roles could cause doubt and announced that Boxing Challenge will be placed into liquidation. They emphasized that over 100 million PLN from the fundraising efforts has already been allocated to medical aid and oncology departments.
