González, Tamaulipas receives over 1.3 billion pesos in investment

Governor Américo Villarreal has announced that over 1,328 million pesos have been invested in the municipality of González, Tamaululipas, during his four-year administration. This funding supports various sectors, including education, coal production, agricultural development, and the rehabilitation of rural roads.

During the second government report of Mayor Miguel Alejandro Zúñiga Rodríguez, it was highlighted that the municipality is launching a major water infrastructure project. This initiative, involving an investment of more than 130 million pesos, aims to utilize water from the Guayalejo River to reduce dependence on dams and ensure a stable supply for residents and the agricultural sector. The project includes a water treatment plant and is expected to be the most significant hydraulic work in the region in 50 years.

Additionally, the municipality receives approximately 335 million pesos annually through federal welfare programs supported by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, benefiting more than 9,000 inhabitants.
