Cancún security forces arrest three in drug and weapon seizures
Security forces in Cancún have conducted separate operations resulting in the arrest of three individuals for suspected drug-related offenses.
In Supermanzana 23, a man identified as Ariel “N” was detained by the Grupo Orión of the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana and the Secretaría de Marina. Authorities seized 27 bags of a substance resembling marijuana, 13 bags of what appeared to be crystal meth, and a suspected counterfeit 500-peso note. A motorcycle was also inspected during the intervention.
In a separate operation known as ‘Blindaje Cancún’ in Supermanzana 531, two men, Víctor Manuel “N” (29) and Ángel “N” (32), were apprehended. This coordinated effort involved the Cancún Police, Sedena, Semar, the National Guard, and the State Attorney General's Office. Officers recovered several bags of dried herb resembling marijuana and a short firearm. All detainees have been placed at the disposal of ministerial authorities for further investigation.
