Argentina and Mexico municipalities offer free pet sterilization this July

Municipal animal‑health offices in several Argentine cities are providing free spay and neuter services for dogs and cats during the week of 13‑17 July 2026. In San Miguel de Tucumán, mobile clinics will operate in the El Bosque and AGET neighborhoods; in Morón, a mobile surgical unit will be stationed at UGC No 1 from 14‑17 July; and in Olavarría a weekly mobile veterinary unit continues its July schedule. Requirements include a 12‑hour fast, registration documents, and basic animal handling gear.

In Mexico, the Institute of Municipal Animal Protection in El Marqués delivered 7,181 free veterinary services in 2026 and maintains a permanent sterilization campaign with 10 000 allocated slots across multiple neighborhoods. The Dirección de Atención y Bienestar Animal (DABA) will conduct free sterilizations at two schools in the Juan Luna and El Mirador colonies on 11‑12 July, using an online pre‑registration system. Additionally, a mobile unit in Buenos Aires’ Plaza Sicardi will vaccinate dogs and cats against rabies on 12 July, reinforcing the city’s year‑round program.
