Cao Bang women launch entrepreneurial ventures to preserve local culture

In the highland province of Cao Bang, Vietnam, women are overcoming challenges to launch entrepreneurial ventures rooted in their local heritage.

Đào Thúy Xuân, a 2024 law graduate from the Hmong ethnic group, has returned to her village in Nam Quang commune to build a digital presence for her community. Through her project, Sua Hmong’s House, she uses video content to document Hmong daily life, traditions, and agricultural products like black chicken and local rice. Her goal is to use digital platforms to promote local culture and create a brand that supports regional farmers.

In Khuổi Ky village, Mạc Thị Khon is focusing on cultural tourism by providing Tay ethnic cultural experiences to attract visitors to the area.
