Cao Bang local product and cultural promotion

Overview

Efforts to promote and commercialize local products and culture in Vietnam’s Cao Bang province have expanded from grassroots community initiatives to larger-scale market integration.

In the highland province, local women are launching entrepreneurial ventures to preserve ethnic heritage. For example, Hmong law graduate Đào Thúy Xuân is using digital content to document Hmong traditions and agricultural products, while Mạc Thị Khon in Khuổi Ky village is focusing on Tay ethnic cultural tourism.

Building on these local efforts, a ‘Vitality of Vietnamese Goods’ program in Hanoi showcased over 100 specialty products from Cao Bang to expand market access. The exhibition featured agricultural goods, traditional handicrafts, and specialty teas, such as Xom Deng purple indigo tea. To increase digital reach, the program also utilized TikTok livestreaming, allowing producers to receive direct feedback from consumers in the capital.
