Capaccio Paestum tourists targeted in vehicle luggage theft

Two tourists reported the theft of all their luggage from a parked vehicle while visiting the coast of Capaccio Paestum. The victims, who had parked near Lido Cerere, discovered the car had been emptied upon returning from the beach.

Local Carabinieri reported that other individuals have also been victims of similar thefts in the area. This incident has renewed concerns regarding security along the Capaccio Paestum coastline, where multiple thefts from vehicles parked near beaches have been recorded during the summer months. Local Municipal Police continue to conduct patrols in an effort to curb the trend.
