Capcom addresses Dragon's Dogma 2 performance controversies

Capcom's action RPG Dragon's Dogma 2 faced criticism regarding its performance at launch in March 2024. Players reported unstable frame rates on consoles and high hardware demands on PC. In an interview, Game Director Kento Kinoshita explained that the development team underestimated player expectations regarding frame rates. The studio had assumed that players of single-player games would accept a stable 30 FPS in exchange for high-quality graphics, a standard common in previous console generations.

Following the initial release, Capcom has since addressed these concerns by delivering a performance mode for consoles and a significant performance boost for PC via Update 3.2.
