Capcom confirms Oct 9 release for Dark Arisen expansion

Overview

Capcom has confirmed that the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion will launch on 9 October 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2. The DLC, priced at US $29.99 standalone or US $49.99 bundled, adds the frozen Norgan region, twelve “Lost Rites” dungeons, and the Forsaken Dominion, offering over 25 hours of content. New features include a transmog system, relic hunting, and environmental hazards like blizzards. New enemies include Berkan tribesmen, Beorcan warriors, the Norgan Giant, and the ice dragon Fimbl.

In preparation for the expansion, Capcom released Title Update 3.2 on 2 September. This update introduced several gameplay and technical overhauls, including increasing vocation weapon-skill slots from four to six, expanding save slots from one to three, and implementing a balance overhaul for all vocations. Technical improvements included native 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X, with PS5 Pro players able to exceed 100 FPS. PC players received expanded graphical settings for volumetric fog, reflections, and ray tracing.

Following the 3.2 release, Capcom issued update 3.210 to address critical save data issues specifically affecting PlayStation 5 players. The previous update had caused incorrect timestamps and errors where the “Load from Last Saved Data” option would load incorrect progress, such as “Load from Last Inn Rest.” Capcom noted that while the patch ensures correct resumption of progress, players who had local saves overwritten by faulty autosaves without a cloud backup may face unrecoverable data loss.
