Capcom to discontinue Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and remove many microtransactions

Capcom announced that, as of 24‑25 June 2026, the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and a range of optional DLC items will be removed from all digital stores. The publisher said the removals are “due to the development of additional content and various adjustments for the upcoming title update” ahead of the Dark Arisen expansion.

The discontinued items include the Deluxe Edition itself and individual packs such as “A Boon for Adventurers”, Harpy Smoke Beacons, Heartfelt Pendant, Ambivalent Rift Incense, Makeshift Gaol Key, Art of Metamorphosis, Portcrystal, Wakestone, and Rift Crystals (500, 1500, 2500). Existing owners can continue to use any previously purchased content. Two items will remain for sale: the Explorer’s Camping Gear kit and the Music & Sound Collection.

Capcom also confirmed a permanent discount on the base game’s digital version. The Dark Arisen expansion, adding a new icy region, new quests and other quality‑of‑life improvements, is scheduled for release on 9 October 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
