Capcom unveils Monster Hunter Stories 3 Rudy DLC and Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion

During the Capcom Spotlight streamed on June 25, 2026 the publisher announced two major post‑launch updates. The spin‑off RPG Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection receives the paid DLC “Additional Side Story : Rudy,” which explores the origins of the Royal Felyne and pits Rudy against the legendary Navirou and the Elder Dragon Nergigante. The DLC is live now on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam; owners of the Deluxe or Premium Deluxe editions get it at no extra cost. A free update also arrives, raising the Final Battle difficulty and unlocking “Royal Monster” versions of almost every creature for players who complete it on Hard.

The same showcase revealed the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion, scheduled for release on 9 October 2026 for Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The expansion adds a new northern region called Norgan, twelve unique “Lost Rites” dungeons, a Relic Expedition Cycle that turns collected relics into powerful weapons and armor, and expanded character‑customisation (hairstyles, tattoos). It is accompanied by a free August patch that improves performance, adds extra save slots, upgrades the Dragonsplague mechanic and increases weapon‑skill slots from four to six.

Both updates aim to address community feedback by providing higher‑level challenges, new story content and quality‑of‑life improvements.
