Capcom announces Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen for Nintendo Switch 2
Capcom has announced that the expansion Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will release on October 9, 2026, marking the franchise's debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. The expansion introduces a new snowy region called Norgan, featuring 12 new dungeons, a new loot system, and additional character customization options.
Notably, this will be the first Capcom title to utilize frame generation technology on the Nintendo Switch 2. Producer Naoto Oyama explained that while the base frame rate will be 30 FPS in both handheld and TV modes, players can enable frame generation to achieve an experience equivalent to 60 FPS.
While the technology uses interpolation to create smoother visuals, Oyama noted that it may result in slight ghosting effects in certain situations. Capcom stated they have implemented adjustments to minimize perceived input lag, and players will have the option to toggle the feature on or off. The expansion is priced at 29.99 Euro for existing owners, while a bundle including the base game will be available on Switch 2 for 49.99 Euro.
